Q:
I have a lamp I want to put in my foyer where there is no electrical outlet. It's through a door and around the bend from the nearest outlet so I don't want to use an extension cord. Shy of having an electrician put in an outlet, is there some way to power the lamp by battery?

A:

LED lamps are now so effcient that you can buy useable ones that are battery powered. People often use them in closets. Maybe you should get rechargaeable batteries to avoid having to replace the batteries too often.
