Q:
As the filament in the bulb needs electron to glow and as electron flow from negative end to positive end, then why can't only negative terminal is connected to bulb but there is need of positive terminal to be connected?

If the positive side isn't connected, electrons will very quickly pile up at the initially positive end, making a negative charge and a negative potential. That will stop the electron flow extremely quickly.
