Q:
In my book it says conduction is a kind of thermal energy transfers and I'm confused because of this question in my revision worksheet for finals that says you reach a bottle of water outside a fridge and your hand is cold then the teacher told us the answer is conduction I know sometimes when you catch ice cream your hand feels cold but How can coldness be with conduction and conduction is about one of the transfers of ---thermal energy--- -3-

A:

You can think of it this way. The conduction takes thermal energy from your hand into the ice cream. So that leaves your hand with less thermal energy. It gets colder.
