Bulbs in Series

is it possible to connect a series of 30 bulbs of 6.3 volts each directly to the ac current? please reply as soon as possible

First, I assume these are some sort of incandescent bulb suited for ac use, not bare LEDs, which require dc. If those bulbs are really designed to work at 6.3V, then 30 in series would work at 189 V. The standard household voltage in India is, I believe, 220V.  That would mean that there would be too much voltage for the bulbs. They would be likely to overheat and blow out quickly. If you could put say 35 in series they should work.
