A:
Styrofoam is a good thermal insulator, meaning that it's hard for heat to flow through it.

Thermos bottles are also pretty good. They have a vacuum between two reflecting glass surfaces. See our other answers on this site about how styrofoam and thermoses prevent conduction, convection, and radiation.
