Highest Frequency?

What is the highest frequency that can be generated by a signal generator? Is there a limit to the highest frequency that can be generated by electronic circuits?

Without more specifics it’s hard to answer that question. You don’t specify any type of signal generator. There are signal generators all over the place in consumer electronics generating signals at several GHz. There are specialized generators used for THz spectroscopy. You could consider tunable lasers to be a form of signal generator at optical frequencies.
