Testing for Microwave Oven Damage

I accidently ran my microwave for 8-9 min with nothing inside. How can I determine if it is damaged? I kept the door open to cool it down, and there does not appear to be any visible damage but I do not even want to try to run it without further advice. Thank you.

Just put a small glass with water into the oven and run it for a while.

If the water warms up a bit you are okay.
