Lemons in Series; Lemons in Parallel

I'm trying to make a lemon battery. I looked up questions on making them and you said to try many lemons in a series and/ or parallel. How do I do this?

If you have two (or more) lemon batteries (or any other kind of batteries), you can hook them up in series or in parallel depending on how you connect the wires. To hook them up in series, just line them up one after another, in a straight line connected by wire. To hook them up in parallel, put them next to each other and connect the top and bottom wires from the first one to the top and bottom wires from the second one. It looks sort of like this:
