The Physics Van has been touring schools since the spring of 1994. And the most current number of shows that we’ve done can always be found on our
The students doing the shows are undergraduate volunteers from the University of Illinois. They are from many different departments. The only requirement for being a Physics Van person is that you enjoy playing with science related stuff and want to share this with others.
We train all of our volunteers so they can perform the various experiments safely, and provide the basic ideas for how to explain the science behind the demos.
