Free Energy From Magnets?

Q:
To cut it short our school is asking us to do a project and I got extremely exited and started searching about different ideas that I can do. So I have found a video on youtube about magnets connected to a fan which changes kinetic energy into motion of the fan and from the motion of the fan a DC electric current is generated. So my question is if it is possible to create free unlimited energy using magnets. I have added a link below to give you a brief idea of what I was thinking to do on a larger scale.

A:
No, unfortunately the basic laws of thermodynamics (conservation of energy, no loss of net entropy) mean that the "free energy" usable for machines never increases. It always decreases.
