The question about whether empty space has a sort of internal clock is an ancient philosophical one, too deep for me. Fortunately your question starts with "You're in..." so there's you. You are full of internal clocks. Every atom is a clock of sorts, as well as the large-scale collective clocks such as heartbeat.
