Magnets in hot Acid

Yes, most permanent magnets that you get will stay magnetic in hot water. However, when the magnet is hot its magnetism will decrease some quickly and then gradually decay.
The strong acidity would gradually dissolve many types of metallic magnet if they are directly in contact with the solution. A thin coating of something that resists acid, such as some plastics or glues, would protect the magnet.
