Anti-elements

Are there such things as antielements? The other day I was reading a article on antimatter and it said that scientist were able to create antihydrogen but not long enough to study the characteristics of the atoms. If this is true that could there be anticompounds like anti sodium chloride?

Yes, in principle. Each particle has a corresponding anti-particle. Nevertheless, it's not practical to make a variety of heavy anti-nuclei.
