Boiling Point of Solutions
Most recent answer: 12/13/2017
Q:
Why does urea and salt water in an experiment I recently took part in reach their boiling points, before the distilled water? Stability in the urea and salt water is reached before it is in the distilled water. Also, I need an explained answer in why the urea and salt solutions' boiling points are higher. Thanks.

A:
We don't know why the solutions boiled before the pure water.
We have several explanations posted about why the boiling point of the solutions is higher than of pure water.
