Yet More Heat-Shrink Tubing

Q:
There have been previous questions about heat shrink tubing. My question is this...can a piece of partially polymerized material be bonded to a piece of fully polymerized (normal state) plastic? Is is possible to bond a partially polymerized material to material that is very heat resistant?

Yes, and the method is surprisingly simple - glue. Any and all of the materials that you listed are susceptible to chemical breakdown. Even heat resistant plastic can be affected by chemicals. This is basically how glue works. It creates a chemical change in the molecules on the surface of the material and bonds to them. You just have to make sure that the kind of glue you choose will work with the materials that you want to stick together.
