Don’t cry Over Spilt Soda

Why do juices and soda get sticky when you spill them and they dry as opposed to water? Thanks

A:
They have sugar, and that doesn’t evaporate. Under ordinary room conditions, it equilibrates with the moist air to leave a slightly watery (sticky) residue.
