Actually, the
universe doesn't move through space at all. All of space
is the universe.
One thing that is moving through space, though, is our galaxy. There
are billions of galaxies in the universe, but we haven't even begun to
explore just ours. Our galaxy, the Milky Way, is estimated to be moving
at about 600 km/sec, or about 1 million miles per hour, when compared
to the rest of the matter we can see in the universe. Talk about fast!
