Sure. Maybe the most commonly measured such effect is electron spin resonance (ESR, or EPR for electron paramagnetic resonance). In this phenomenon, electromagnetic radiation is absorbed as it flips spins from low energy to high energy states. ESR is often measured in systems which not only have many electrons but also where the electrons interact strongly.
