Concerning the unexplainable acceleration of the expansion of the universe: If the entire universe were, itself, be spinning, could simple centrifugal force with no source of opposing centripetal force cause the expansion to accelerate?

Hello Mike,
No. If it did there should be a center and an axis about which it spins. As far as we can see the universe is very uniform in all directions. No such center exists.
