Where did Big Bang Happen?

It seems to me that there has been 14 b years since the big bang thus more mass far away from where the big bang started. That would imply that there would be a shell of mass surrounding a less dense core. Would not that explain why the galaxies would pick up speed as in all directions there is more mass.

The Big Bang didn't happen at one spot in space, sending stuff out from that place. It happened everywhere, at least everywhere in the space we can observe.  There's no edge to the space, no sign of any spot being very special. Start from the point of view of any object, and you'll find stuff flying away from that object.
