No Aluminum Core Transformers

Is possible to use an aluminum core for an AC induction transformer?

Aluminum would be worse than useless as a transformer core. Unlike the usual magnetizable core materials, it will not increase the magnetic flux through the coil. The eddy currents stirred up in the conducting aluminum will make fields that actually  reduce the magnetic flux.
