Electron in Free Space

You answered a previous question about how long light would travel through empty space and said basically forever- there�s nothing to stop it. The speed of light is related to the permeability and permittivity of the medium. If those values change, the speed would change. What about an electron, with mass, charge, spin. Does it interact with any characteristics of free space �vacuum�? Would it slow down- assuming there is no other matter / light, etc anywhere.

Like the light, the elctron will just keep traveling forever in free space. Unless there's something to bump into (maybe the light from the previous question) the electron can't change its momentum.
