Magnetic Energy Storage

I was just wondering if there is a way to make enegy that would could be stored using magnetism?

If you have electrical energy, it can be used to get current going in big superconducting magnets. If these are then left in ’persistent mode’, with the current circulating entirely in the superconductor, the energy is stored in the magnetic field. People have talked about using this scheme, but I guess right now it’s not economical.
