A:
Probably the easiest thing you can do with electromagnetism is to make
a small electromagnet. Take a large nail and wrap an electrical wire
around it. The more coils you can get around the nail the better. Then
hook the wire up to a battery. The electrical field from the wires will
create a magnetic field across the nail, turning it into a temporary
magnet. Turn the whole thing off, and your nail will have become a
magnet!
