I'm wondering. Why does an ice cube floating on the water even though they have the same density?

Your premise is incorrect.   The density of water at 0o C is 0.9998 grams per cubic centimeter.

The density of ice at the same temperature is 0.9167 grams per cubic centimeter.  Ergo, it floats.
