Is there an audible component to the expanding universe; maybe something similar to cosmic background radiation.

A:
Hello Ed,
According to the currently acceptable theories there is nothing that you can 'hear' with your ears.  That would require acoustic vibrations of the air.   Nevertheless there should be gravitational waves coming from the 'big bang' that would have audible frequencies.   In order to 'hear' these waves one needs an enormously large apparatus to detect them and then translate them into acoustic waves.  There is a nice article that you might enjoy reading at
that describes a proposed detector that spans the earth's orbit around the sun.
