Effects of Sunlight in Eclipse

why sunlight causes more harmful effect on the body on solar eclipse?

It doesn't. The problem is that during the eclipse people are tempted to stare directly at the sun. There's still enough light, including ultraviolet light, coming from the visible fringes to damage the retina.
