Given a motor with a 95% efficiency and a pump with a 82% efficiency how do I calculate the combined efficiency?

You just multiply the respective efficiencies to get the total effective efficiency:
Efftotal = Effmotor x Effpump = 0.95 x 0.82 = 0.799 or about 80%
