Well, I’m not sure what sort of things you’d like to know, but here’s a few that you may not have been aware of... Did you know that Mars looks red because it’s actually covered in rust? Did you know that Mars is actually named after the Roman god of war? Did you know that a day on Mars is about the same length as a day on Earth, but a year on Mars is almost twice as long as on Earth? Did you know that if you weighed 50 pounds on Earth, you’d only weigh 19 on Mars? Did you know that early scientists thought that there must be life on Mars because of something they saw through their telescopes that they thought looked like man-made canals? Did you know that Mars has 2 moons? Did you know that Mars has a giant canyon system called the Vallis Marineris that’s as big as the entire United States?

For more cool information about Mars that you may or may not have known, check out these links:

: tons of cool information, straight from the source.

: a whole network of sites all about Mars. Again, straight from NASA.

: cool stuff about the different missions to Mars - like Pathfinder and the Mars Surveyor.

: once you think you know it all, test your knowledge with this game from the Mars Society.
