Jupiter is a gas planet and radiates more energy into space than it recieves from the sun. It gets its energy from the slow gravitational compression of the planet (and not fusion of hydrogen, which is most of what Jupiter's made of. Jupiter is too cold to ignite a fusion reaction). The core temperature is said to be 24,000 degrees Celsius and the tempereature at the top of Jupiters clouds is said to be -140 degrees Celsius. The temperature of the interior varies between these two extremes.
