You can probably make the most free throws with whatever size basketball you have the most practice using. When you learn to shoot for the basket, you become familiar with the size and weight of whichever ball you're using. So in the future, it will always be easier for you to use that kind of ball.

In general, there are a lot of factors that play into what kind of ball would be the easiest to shoot. And many of them will vary depending on the circumstances. For example, the heavier the ball is, the easier it will be to aim - because it can't be moved as easily by things like wind. But that doesn't mean you should use the heaviest ball possible, because that would be much harder for you to throw. The physical size of the ball can also matter. If its too big it will be hard to get it through the hoop, and if it's too small it will be harder to grip it and aim.
