Brainy Sperm?

Q:
Do sperm have a ’brain’? If yes, then does that mean that they are a living entity?

A:
Sperm don’t have brains. Brains are arrangements of multiple neurons (a type of cell) interacting with each other. A sperm is a single cell itself, with no neurons.

As for whether you call sperms ’living entities’, that’s just a question of how you want to use words. They’re certainly functioning parts of living entities,  but they aren’t able to survive on their own.

Lots of living entities do not have brains, such as plants, single-celled animals, fungi, sea sponges and many others.
