My science class is building water rockets with 1 liter bottles and I am in charge of the parachute or retreival system. what should I make the parachute out of (the object is to keep the rocket in the air as long as possible). PLEASE ANSWER QUICK!

Look, I have no idea but you say you want an answer quick. I assume that nobody's life depends on the answer actually being right.

You want something light but strong. How about silk? Too expensive? What about nylon fabric?

How about plastic film, such as a kitchen trash bag, cut into a sheet.
