Quantum Two-slits and Light

Q:
If the double-slit experiment was conducted entirely by people who are blind, and can only use measurements of sound, touch and other measures which don't involve visible light, would particles still be detected? If no, they why does physical existence occur to persist when our eyes are closed, and are we touching particles when our eyes are closed?

A:

There's nothing special about light for this purpose. Any effect of the path of the quantum on some large-scale variable (position of some meter reading, any state of your mind,...) will decohere the possibilities and "measure" the path. We've addressed this question before: .
