can you hold liquid nitrogen in a fire exstiglisher tank?

Those tanks are not designed to provide the sort of thermal insulation you need to keep liquid nitrogen for any length of time. An ordinary thermos bottle is a better bet. Also, you have to be very careful not to use some tank that seals shut, because as the nitrogen boils the pressure builds up, and your tank could explode.
