This may seem surprising, but radioactive atoms look just like regular atoms. The only difference is that the radioactive atoms break apart sometimes and send off pieces of themselves (like tiny bombs). Often, in cartoons, radioactive things are a glowing green. You can’t see the high-energy radiation from these nuclear processes, so this isn’t really accurate.
