Great question! It really depends on what exactly you want to do. For example, if you have a plasma ball (you can get them at most novelty stores), you can use it to light up a flourescent lightbulb anyplace or anytime. And with practice, anybody can pull a tablecloth out from under dishes. But things like liquid nitrogen can be pretty hard to get if you’re not at a big college like U of I. Even so, you can do some of those activities using other things. You can freeze a banana to hammer in a nail using your freezer - it just takes longer than using liquid nitrogen does.

For a whole bunch of other experiments and activities that you /can/ do at home, school, or anywhere around the neighborhood, check out this link to . They’ve got a whole lot of really cool ideas for things to do, including how to make a regular pickle glow like a lightbulb!
