Time Reversal Near Black Hole?
Most recent answer: 06/06/2016
Q:
If we could build a spaceship strong enough to resist the gravitational pull of a black hole, and orbit very near the black hole, at a speed almost equal to the velocity of light, can we theoretically go to the past?; as near a black hole time should almost stop and as the speed of the ship is very high, time would reverse. Is this reasoning correct?

A:
No, the point of view of someone orbiting a black hole would not reverse the time axis. Going near the black hole and then slinshotting back home would allow you to experience events far into the Earth's future.
