Entropy in Universe Expansion

Most recent answer: 02/15/2015

as the universe is expanding the entropy is also increasing but the temperature is decreasing. As temperature increases entropy also increases. here is he reverse of that.would u plz explain

If there was only the cosmic microwave background radiation, then the loss of entropy due to cooling would just cancel the gain of entropy from expansion, just like in the quasi-static adiabatic expansion of a gas. The increase in entropy is due to other processes, including heating from gravitational collapse of stars, conversion of nuclear energy to thermal energy in stars, and thermal radiation from stars.
