Drag is a general word for forces between neighboring objects that drag each other along. That means that the drag tends to make them move together. Some examples of forces that involve drag are friction and air resistance. Friction is a force that occurs in between two objects that rub against each other. Air resistance slows objects down as they move through stationary air, and of course pulls them along into motion with the air in a wind.
