What is CHemiluminescence? and what kind of materials exhibit this?

Chemiluminscence is what happens when you get light due to a chemical reaction. Many chemical reactions release energy. Some of the release it as heat. Some release it as light. And some release it as both. For example, when hydrogen reacts with oxygen to produce water, it releases a lot of energy as both heat and light. The light it produces is created by chemiluminescence:

Fireflies provide a great example of chemiluminescence. They use up some chemicals, which directly emit light as the react, without even getting very hot.
