Q:
In a year, many political et natural events such as riots, terror attacks, earthquakes and hurricanes happen. In a decade, you age, economical crisis happen, new technologies emerge. In a century, technological and cultural revolutions happen, some species vanish, a major natural catastrophe is bound to happen (major tsunami or earthquake, major volcanic explosion). In a millenia, human society is profoundly changed, rare events may have happened (such as a supernova, impact with a meteorite such as the Tunguska event). In a million years, continents drifted, new species appeared, human specie doesn't look like today (probably extinct), massive extinctions become probable. But in a billion years and further in the future, what sort of events are bound to happen here on Earth?

A:
The main predictable future event is that the sun will swell up becoming more like a red giant star. That will fry everything here. (see The beginnings of the process may become important in a billion years or so.
