Is it possible that dark matter is made up of undiscovered quantum particles we have not found yet. The temperatures at the Big Bang could possibly yield particles that can�t occur normally.

Yes indeed, dark matter could be composed of particles that were made during the "Big Bang". In fact, this is a theory that is currently being discussed. The acronym that is used is Wimp , "Weakly Interacting Massive Particle". Several searches are currently underway for wimps. So far, no luck.
