What provides more voltage, a car or the wall?

Hi Chelsea,

The usual source of electricity in a car is a 12 Volt DC (direct current) battery.  It is kept charged up by a generator that operates when the car is running.    By "wall" I presume you mean the wall receptacle that you plug appliances into.  This receptacle provides 110 Volts AC (alternating current) in the US and in other countries is frequently 220 Volts.
