Freezing ice With Sound

If by chance you start with supercooled water, below 0°C, then sound can nucleate the actual formation of ice.


Probably you're thinking instead of starting with warmer water and somehow using sound to cool it. That too is possible, as described in this nice article about sound-based refrigeration:
