Why electron revolve around nucleus?

Electrons stay near the nucleus because they are electrically attracted. The nucleus is positively charged and the electron is negatively charged. For the most part, electrons don't actually revolve around the nucleus but rather are typically found in "stationary states"- clouds which aren't going anywhere.
