General Description:
The Traveling Science Program is an extension of the Education Department of the Maryland Science Center. Three teams of performers are on the road every day delivering high-energy science excitement to schools throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Whether it is an hour long assembly program on broad topics such as chemistry, flight or the scientific method amazing and exciting a large audience or a more hands-on classroom program where 30 students explore a more specific topic such as animal adaptations, the laws of motion, ploymers or the hydrosphere, the Traveling Science Program has a topic and format to enhance any school's curriculum. Last year the program visited 130,000 people in 6 states, logging over 80,000 miles and bringing the wonder of science into the community.

all programs have a required fee that is dependant upon type of program and number of programs booked; however, there is no travel fee within a 2.5 hour radius of Baltimore
