Temperature Differences in Bearings

In our shop we have a industrial freezer set at -120F we use to freeze large bearing races for installation into components.Some people will also heat the bearing bore to 250F before installing the cold bearing race into the bore.What potential problems can occur or develope where you have a wide temperature diffential like that between two components?

Are all these parts made of metal? Stainless steel? If so, my amateur guess is that there wouldn't be problems. Some more brittle materials (some glasses, some ceramics) can crack when one part is hot and another is cold.
