Magnetically Charged Photons?

Q:
I am trying to figure out a way to magnetically charge a photon. I need the photon to interact with magnetic fields. Just like a photon can effect an electron I want to see it affect a magnetic field. How would I do this or which way should I look to ?

A:

It turns out that photons can't be magnetically charged. In fact, no known particle has magnetic charge. Theorists suspect that magnetically charged particles (called magnetic monopoles) do exist, but that an early stage of the Big Bang spread them out so much that we have basically no chance of seeing one.
