Charge Distribution of a Black Hole

Most recent answer: 12/14/2013

Q:
Is a charge inside a black distributed uniformly or not? Where is it located? Can a charge move around inside the black hole? If charge distribution is measured from outside of black hole, does it fluctuate in time and space?

Hi Anything,

As you probably know the only observable quantities of a black hole are its mass, its angular momentum, and its charge. These quantities are stable.  You also know that in a conducting medium any excess charge will lie on its surface.   Since I have no idea whether or not the interior of a black hole has conductivity or not, I can't say anything about the internal charge distribution.
